Rainwater Recovery, Inc. Commissions State-of-the-Art Rainwater Harvesting System at Needham Public Library

Rainwater Recovery, Inc. announced today the commissioning of the rainwater harvesting system installed at the Needham Public Library in Needham, Massachusetts. The system, which collects water from the building's roof drain system and directs it to a 12,000-gallon storage vault under the Library's parking area, was installed as part of a complete renovation and expansion of the Library. The water will be used to feed the site's landscape irrigation system, and was built as part of LEED Silver Certification being pursued by the project team, which signifies the incorporation of various sustainable technologies incorporated in the extensive library project. Rainwater Recovery, Inc. Completes 39-System Rainwater Harvesting Project under DCR and EPA Grant Grant Program

Rainwater Recovery Inc. has completed the delivery and commissioning of 39 rainwater harvesting systems at residences in Wilmington, Massachusetts. The systems, which capture roof run-off and store it for outdoor water use, were provided under a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Targeted Watershed grant program being managed and administered by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation & Recreation (DCR). Philip Reidy, a Principal at Rainwater Recovery Inc. in Waltham, MA, was elected as the Northeast Regional Representative of the American Rainwater Catchment Systems Association (ARCSA) during their North American Rainwater Harvesting Conference in Seattle, WA. ARCSA, a non-profit organization which promotes rainwater harvesting in the United States and Canada, selected Reidy based on his efforts and that of his company in advancing rainwater harvesting in the Northeastern United States.
